Word from the Headteacher

Welcome to Good Samaritan School for the Deaf, Kitengeesa website. I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I sincerely hope the information contained in our website will tell you all you need to know about who we are and what we offer. 

At Good Samaritan, our passion lies in equipping our students with necessary skill, knowledge and confidence to take on the ever challenging world. Good Samaritan school was founded to provide local deaf children with a safe space that is conducive to their learning and healthy development. We strive to equip all our students with holistic primary education and vocational skills required to be productive and independent members of the society. 

We encourage our students to be inquisitive, resilient, and ambitious and dedicated with a strong sense of community/ team work, collaboration and respect. 

When choosing a school, it is important to pick one that connects with one’s beliefs about learning and child development, as well as a broad- based program of curricular and extracurricular activities. An accommodating environment helps a child in their transitioning process. Our students develop life long bonds with the school, a reflection of the strong community spirit that characterizes everything the school does. 

Good Samaritan has been flourishing over 17 years now, to a strong, deep-rooted tree today. Fruitful, literally and figuratively, that’s how I see it, in retrospect. From the size of the campus to the size of our Good Samaritan family, the trend has been upward and onward, growth – our students, staff, parents and of course, invaluable volunteer, partner, well-wishers and donor teams, you’ve laid a foundation for success to be what we are today! 

We are all part of a very important job educating, inspiring and empowering students to be happy and successful. Communication is very important to us so we encourage parents to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.
